First, because you cut it off yourself, there may be some 'loose ends' that need to be trimmed. Also, the opinion of someone who looks at a lot of natural heads in a lot of different state will definitely be helpful. But also, you should note, in the end it's going to take time to figure it out. Fabulous as you may have been back then, I'm sure it took you a minute to figure out how to 'do' your relaxed hair. It's going to take a bit of trial and error to find a good flow with your natural hair too.

Simone is right though, we do need to see your fro! I think I am going to have to go to a natural salon sooner rather than later. You are one step ahead of my next post... I am not a fan of any of the "curling" products I've encountered thus far...Elisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06099120770603788024noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7420161874840599362.post-58486166650548311242008-03-24T08:30:00.000-07:002008-03-24T08:30:00.000-07:00i think we need a pic of your natural doo in order...i think we need a pic of your natural doo in order to give you suggestions. Please let us see what's under the wig lmao :)

You know that you also can train your hair to start curling up, right? So its not only about product, but starting to do two strand twists or strawing it (yes you can straw natural hair). You have to train your hair not just hope that there is a magic potion that will instantly curl that fro :)

And what about pressing? Have you exhausted that option yet. Or the gym and pressing aint working well together?simonehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14794636699750596873noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7420161874840599362.post-732914546906665582008-03-24T06:47:00.000-07:002008-03-24T06:47:00.000-07:00Hi Lisa -Funny you would mention the Carmel treatm...Hi Lisa -

Funny you would mention the Carmel treatment. I actually did one this weekend. I am still not convinced if my hair really "likes" this treatment anymore. At first, it was doing wonders when I was transitioning out of my relaxer and then it kind of stopped being effective. I would say it made my hair softer but being that my hair is sooooo dry, it isn't sufficient for me as a deep conditioner - I need more :).Elisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06099120770603788024noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7420161874840599362.post-92019697220181870842008-03-22T20:37:00.000-07:002008-03-22T20:37:00.000-07:00Hi Elisa,I read your blog about the carmel treatme...Hi Elisa,
I read your blog about the carmel treatments and was wondering why you stopped. I put one in my daughters hair this evening. She has natural, very long, and thick hair. I was looking for something that would make my life easier. It seemed to be more manageable. However, I still blowdried, and flatironed and that took a long time because she has so much hair. I didn't go to the salon, I just ordered online the carmel and the Preserve. My sis in law who lives in Philly told me about the products and that they would do wonders for my daughter's hair. So I googled Carmel treatment and your blog popped up.
Wish you many blessings on the transformation and just wondering why you didn't stick with the carmels
ThanksLisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11709367536984386569noreply@blogger.com
